Guest Workshops

The future of manufacturing requires factories to be flexible and reconfigurable to provide on-demand production. Various technologies have been identified as the keys to realize this goal, such as IoT, digital twin, AI-enabled robotics and automation. The workshops aim to provide a comprehensive understanding of the latest advancements in Robotics & AI technologies in the context of future factories, by bringing together researchers from different backgrounds to share their expertise and experience on implementing innovative solutions to challenging problems. It seeks to identify challenging problems in Robotics and AI imperative to achieve flexible manufacturing and production as a service.

These workshops explore the latest Robotics & AI technologies for future factories, bringing together researchers to share innovative solutions to challenging problems. Topics include key challenges to achieving flexible manufacturing and production as a service, along with their social impact.

The workshops offer a unique opportunity to participate in the advancement of the industry’s research base, through interaction with other robotics and automation professionals and engage in expert panel discussions, tutorial sessions, short courses, supplier exhibits and social events with the leaders and innovators of the industry.

Researchers and professionals in our community present their latest advances in computer vision, pattern recognition, machine learning, robotics, artificial intelligence, and industry experiences both in theory and practice. Our  workshops include invited keynote talks, award paper presentations, poster presentations, tutorials, workshops, demos, exhibitions, and an amiable social setting, all aimed at providing attendees with an exciting and enriching experience. The workshops will produce a roadmap for the community, as well as generate new connections, collaborations, and synergy amongst diverse researchers and professionals interested in these problem domains.

For guest workshop our guest teachers are people from various backgrounds and experience to their name to provide an intuition and a different outlook towards education and bring out variety in the forms of learning.

A few of the guest workshops this year will be headed by;

Akshay Shah- Guest Lecturer- Shaikshya Kala - Copy

Akshay Shah

Akshay Shah is a rendering software engineer with six years of work experience. Currently he is working with Pixar’s Renderman group and has received a movie credit in the recent movie ‘Elemental’. Previously, he has been a part of Synopsys’ optical solutions group & worked on LightTools, LucidShape and LucidShapeCAA. Akshay specializes in 3D computer graphics and rendering and is responsible for various features in shipped products, including display drivers, large scale rendering, automotive rendering and illumination optics.

Akshay is a powerful force in the workplace and uses his positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed. In his free time, he likes to do photography, write poems and short stories.

Vivek Dhariwal

Vivek Dhariwal is a Computer Science undergrad with over 6 years of experience working with Amazon on the Alexa experience. Vivek has helped launch multiple Alexa devices such as the Echo Show 15 and the Echo Show 5 gen 3. He also helped set up functional automation of the device software for Communications to enable CI (Continuous Integration) on the development pipelines.

Vivek enjoys testing and breaking a product to the point it has almost no unknown defects. He likes getting to the bottom of things to understand why we do (or don’t)  things the way we do. He also enjoys identifying and optimizing inefficiencies in processes, workflows and tasks using automation and non-automation methods.

What is Rubrics?

A rubric is a set of guidelines or criteria used to assess and evaluate the quality of a performance, product, or project. It is a tool commonly used in educational settings to provide feedback and measure the achievement of learning outcomes.

Rubrics typically consist of a detailed description of performance expectations, along with a rating scale that allows assessors to assign scores or levels of achievement based on specific criteria. The criteria may include various dimensions such as content knowledge, organization, creativity, critical thinking, communication skills, and more, depending on the nature of the task or assignment being evaluated.

By using a rubric, educators can provide clear and consistent feedback to students, highlighting their strengths and areas for improvement. Rubrics also promote transparency and fairness in grading, as they provide a structured and objective framework for assessment.

Rubrics can be created for different types of assignments or projects, including essays, presentations, research papers, group work, and performance tasks. They help both students and assessors to understand the expectations and standards of a particular task and facilitate meaningful feedback and assessment.

Grade Discipline Code Description

Social Innovation through Robotics and Artificial Intelligence

BY PROF. GAUTAM SHARMA
– Co-Founder and CEO of RoboTech

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.
